Description

This is the Gift of Forest in Koyasan, The Holy Land

These stunning bead bracelets are made from six different kinds of coniferous trees that, since ancient times, have been known as Koyarikuboku.

Sugi (cedar), Hinoki (cypress), Tsuga, Momi (fir), Akamatsu (red pine) and Koyamaki. The logging of these trees has been restricted under a system called Rugi-tomegi. These particular types of trees have significant importance as they are used in the construction of Temples.

Kobo Daishi, the founder of Shingon Buddhism, utilized these trees to collect funds as part of the reconstruction project for Koyasan.

10mm beads / internal bracelet diameter approx 5.5mm

Please note: These beads are made from natural wood. Do not soak in water or hot water. Do not store in extreme moisture. If you use perfume or oil while earing the bracelet it may cause colour change or damage.

  • Due to the nature of the material, there may be some deformations, dents, individual differences of slight size, etc.
