This beautiful Shigarakiware tea bowl from Hechimon uses an ancient glazing technique called Kohiki.
Made in Japan by Marui Ceramics

About the brand: Hechimon is a registered trademark of Marui ceramics. Shigaraki is counted as one of the six ancient kilns in Japan and is said to have a long history of 1260 years. In 1976 (Showa 51), it was designated as a traditional craft by the country. The original climbing kilns set up by Marui in 1925 are still standing today.
